Fortnite Battle Royale has become a global phenomenon since its release in 2017. After 10 seasons, Chapter 1 closed on October 13, 2019 with a mind-blowing event that only Epic Games has the secret to. Chapter 2 suffered the same fate so that we can already get to Chapter 3.

Chapter 3 brought a whole bunch of changes to the game, including a whole new batch of never-before-seen weapons, replacing all of the ones we’ve known from the last few chapters, even the famous SCAR that has left a mark on so many players.

Tier S

Combat assault rifle

The rate of fire of this assault rifle makes it incredibly powerful, arguably the best in its class.

  • Common : 19 damage
  • Atypical : 20 damage
  • Rare : 21 damage
  • Epic : 22 damage
  • Legendary : 23 damage

Tier A

Stinger Machine Gun

With a much too high rate of fire, this submachine gun is clearly not to be shunned for your close quarters combat, especially since shotguns are not extremely punishing.

  • Common : 16 damage
  • Atypical : 17 damage
  • Rare : 18 damage
  • Epic : 19 damage
  • Legendary : 20 damage

Automatic shotgun

You are advised against keeping this shotgun for the entire game as it will be of very little use to you in close quarters combat, although it may save you early in the game if you only have it.

  • Common : 75 damage
  • Atypical : 80 damage
  • Rare : 84 damage
  • Epic : 88 damage
  • Legendary : 92 damage

Assault rifle with burst

The AUG is back for the better. With these bursts, you can clearly surprise your opponents who won’t see their hit points drop.

  • Common : 28 damage
  • Atypical : 29 damage
  • Rare : 31 damage
  • Epic : 33 damage
  • Legendary : 34 damage

Sniper rifle

This weapon similar to the well known “DMR” on Call of Duty is going to appeal to you if you are accurate on the game, especially with so much damage per bullet.

  • Common : 45 damage
  • Atypical : 48 damage
  • Rare : 50 damage
  • Epic : ? damage
  • Legendary : 55 damage

Hammer assault rifle

This new assault rifle from Season 3 is clearly a revelation.

  • Common : 27 damage
  • Atypical : 29 damage
  • Rare : 31 damage
  • Epic : 33 damage
  • Legendary : 35 damage

Tier B

Specialized Assault Shotgun

If you’ve always been accustomed to having a shotgun in your inventory, you should definitely favor this one. It may remind you a bit of the SPAS, but it’s still not on its level in terms of damage.

  • Common : 86 damage
  • Atypical : 91 damage
  • Rare : 96 damage
  • Epic : 100 damage
  • Legendary : 105 damage

Stalker assault rifle

Due to its too-low rate of fire and not really being accurate, this is not the assault rifle you’ll want in your inventory during mid-range duels.

  • Common : 31 damage
  • Atypical : 32 damage
  • Rare : 34 damage
  • Epic : 36 damage
  • Legendary : 37 damage

Heavy sniper rifle

The heavy sniper rifle also nicknamed “Barrett” by nostalgics made its return in Chapter 3, not as powerful as before but still pretty effective.

  • Rare : 120 damage
  • Epic : 128 damage
  • Legendary : 138 damage

Two-shot shotgun

A new shotgun has arrived in this Season 3 and it can be devastating in the right hands.

  • Common : 57 damage
  • Atypical : 60 damage
  • Rare : 63 damage
  • Epic : 66 damage
  • Legendary : 69 damage

Tier C

Handgun

At the beginning of the game, you are allowed to play it if it is really the only weapon you have found. Otherwise replace it as soon as you can to increase your chances of survival.

  • Common : 25 damage
  • Atypical : 27 damage
  • Rare : 28 damage
  • Epic : 29 damage
  • Legendary : 31 damage

Revolver

The Revolver returns in Chapter 3 but as a pistol it’s clearly not a weapon you’ll prioritize in your inventory even though it can do wonders when aiming well at your opponents’ heads.

  • Common : 54 damage
  • Atypical : 57 damage

Loading Machine Gun

This new weapon is not at all easy to use despite its potential power with proper handling.

  • Common : 15 damage
  • Atypical : 16 damage
  • Rare : 17 damage
  • Epic : 18 damage
  • Legendary : 19 damage

Tier D

Pioche

Pickaxe is not really a weapon to fight on Fortnite but it can be used in some cases such as eliminating downed enemies to save your bullets… or trolling your opponent in the final duel for the Royal Victory.

  • Common : 20 damage
