Famous streamer FaZe Swagg thinks that the Grau which is a popular weapon among Warzone players might be making a comeback in the meta.
Only old Warzone players will remember the Grau 5.56 in its heyday. At the time, this Modern Warfare assault rifle established itself as the best weapon in the game by far, thanks to its complete lack of recoil, impressive range, and maneuverability.
Since then, this weapon has slowly fallen into oblivion, with players preferring more meta weapons, which recently were almost always from Vanguard.
However, while the Season 4 Reloaded MAJ saw the Kilo 141 improved, a patch a few days later countered that with significant nerfs to almost all assault rifles.
As a result, players have been looking for a new AR to use, and according to content creator Swagg, the Grau may once again have the opportunity to shine.
Swagg describes the Grau 5.56 as “meta” again
In an August 6 YouTube video, he explains how the Kilo’s surprise nerf prompted him to return to the Grau, a weapon that the developers haven’t modified in a very long time.
“I don’t know who’s testing the weapons at Raven Software,” he said. “The whole community has been excited about this game. They nerfed the Kilo, they reduced the minimum damage range… it doesn’t make sense. Why would you nerf this weapon when you just improved it?“
And according to him, the answer to this nerf was to release the Grau 5.56. Although this weapon is not as powerful as it used to be, its low recoil and range make it easy to eliminate opponents at long and medium range.
