Pokémon Go: trainers mock the Daily Adventure Incense

Less than a month after the addition of Daily Adventure Incense on Pokémon Go, players are already making fun of the infamous “uncommon Pokémon” encountered.

In recent years, Niantic has made multiple changes to how Incense works on Pokémon Go. This item increasing the rate of Pokémon appearances has become over time a real point of tension between developers and players.

However, a new feature has come along to give many trainers some hope: the Daily Adventure Incense. This new item, given out every day for free, gives trainers a 15-minute chance to encounter unusual Pokémon.

After nearly a month of availability, the report is bitter. But rather than mope, many players have preferred to criticize Adventure Incense with memes.

Pokemon Go players make fun of Daily Adventure Incense

Assiduous trainers using their Daily Adventure Incense every day quickly noticed a problem: the famous “uncommon” Pokémon appearance rate is not up to expectations.

On Reddit, user u/TheLegendaryFurry took a swipe at us, boasting about the rarity of the Pokémon he’s encountered while using this special Incense.

“For those of you who are disappointed with the Daily Adventure Incense, just remember that it attracts Pokémon you don’t normally encounter. You will have unique encounters like these.

To go along with this ironic title, the author shares a list of “rare” Pokémon captured with Incense: Ponchien, Ratata, Poichigeon… it’s a far cry from exciting encounters with unusual Pokémon.

Another frustrated trainer adds in commentary, “I was so frustrated during Insectomania week. I walked along my usual route full of Aspicot, Chenipan and Venipatte, and thanks to the Incense I was able to see…Aspicot, Chenipan and Venipatte appear.”

Even if not all trainers are convinced by the Daily Adventure Incense, it would still be a stretch to argue that it doesn’t allow for the appearance of any unusual Pokémon. As is often the case, Pokémon Go is also about luck.
