The Warzone gas mask is finding new ways to kill players instead of saving them, and many are frustrated by this new problem.
Although CoD’s first battle royale experience is now in Season 4 Reloaded and two years after the game’s debut, the gas mask is finding new ways to stir up trouble.
For a long time, fans of the game were panicked when they were near the gas with a mask in their possession, as they knew that if a firefight ensued, the game’s mask removal system could derail the fight quickly.
The gas masks have been refined and improved over the Seasons, but a new problem has emerged that can result in the death of players who have done nothing wrong.
Gas masks pose new problems in Warzone
According to a Reddit post from Warzone, Raven Software “can’t manage the mask right”, and it’s a combination of long-standing issues and a new problem.
meme-viewerno says: “Thanks devs, now every time I go into the gas, even with a gas mask, I take a damage tick and make a big coughing sound so the enemy knows exactly where I am, even though I’m wearing a gas mask.” So even if you take the proper precautions and wear a gas mask, the game still records the gas damage, which obviously causes a loud, unpleasant coughing sound that reveals your location to anyone nearby.
It’s clear that this happens to other people as well, with the most liked comment being “I agree! This is extremely annoying”
Another user added: “Dude, two days ago I intentionally stayed in the gas so my operator would put on the mask and I could shoot people running around the area from inside the gas. I decided to go into the area and fight, but as soon as I’m out of the gas, the mask goes on and I lose the shooting.”
With the new gas mask toggle option, deaths caused by this erratic equipment may finally come to an end.
