Call of Duty 4’s “All Ghillied Up” mission is considered one of the best missions in the franchise, and Infinity Ward is set to give it a second wind in Modern Warfare 2.

With just a few weeks to go before Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer unveiling, scheduled for Sept. 15, Activision has announced that in addition to the multiplayer beta, everyone who pre-orders the game will get more than a week’s early access to the Campaign.

Modern Warfare 2“All Ghillied Up” should be back in Modern Warfare 2

The vast majority of the Call of Duty community loved this mission, and even today they look back on it with nostalgia. An enthusiasm that Infinity Ward intends to take advantage of. Indeed, the Modern Warfare 2 trailer shows Captain Price lying in the tall grass, firing a sniper rifle.

On the surface, it might not seem like a big deal, but Captain Price’s doppelganger, Barry Sloane, confirmed that “All Ghillied Up” would be making a comeback. With a photo of Price in tow, he said, “Captain John Price. Task Force 141. All Ghillied Up.”

The developers had hinted at this mission in a briefing prior to the Campaign reveal, confirming that the player will team up with Price to perform long-range eliminations. Located in Spain, the area is expected to be huge given Infinity Ward’s claim that it learned how to create massive environments after Warzone.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until October 20, when early access to Modern Warfare 2’s Campaign begins, to learn more about this revamped mission.
