Activision lifts veil on upcoming Warzone crossover

While rumors suggested a crossover with Umbrella Academy was coming soon, the developers have confirmed that it will be a reality in Warzone Season 5.
One of the things that has helped lift Fortnite to the top is undoubtedly Epic Games’ ability to implement multiple crossovers between its battle royale and popular licenses, mostly from pop culture.
Of course, not all of these crossovers have had the same impact, with some being limited to adding cosmetic elements while others have resulted in major events, but regardless, players are always coming back for more.
Looking to Epic Games for inspiration, Activision has rolled out multiple crossovers since Warzone’s launch, adding iconic figures to the battle royale such as Rambo, John McClane King Kong and Godzilla or more recently Terminator. With each new season, players get a new crossover to add to their collection and Season 5 will be no exception.
Warzone Pacific Season 5 is expected to bring a plethora of new content including a crossover with the popular Umbrella Academy series.
Hazel and Cha Cha will soon land on Warzone
During the rollout of Warzone’s Season 4 Reloaded update, dataminers unearthed a code in the game’s files suggesting that the developers were planning to integrate Umbrella Academy cosmetics into the game.
While gamers were lost in conjecture, the arrival of this crossover was confirmed by the Warzone Pacific Season 5 roadmap where skins of Hazel and Cha Cha, the iconic hitmen from the popular Netflix series, can be seen.
According to these leaks, players who purchase the 2 packs before September 30 will be rewarded with an exclusive KG M40 legendary weapon blueprint, a legendary weapon charm and a legendary calling card.
However, as always until confirmed, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. Regardless, with Season 5 just around the corner, the developers should be giving out more information on this new crossover soon.
