Pokémon Go Insectomania event dates
The Insectomania event begins on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 10am and will end on Tuesday, August 16 at 8pm.
New Insect-type Pokémon
A powerful evolutionary line of Insect Pokémon is making its first appearance in Pokémon Go. As a result, players will be able to get their hands on Larvibule, Chrysapile and Lucanon.
Lucanon is a powerful Insect/Electrik Pokémon. It and its sub-evolutions were introduced in the seventh generation.
- Larvibulle appears among the Wild Encounters throughout the event
- Evolving Larvibulle into Chrysapile costs 25 Larvibulle Candies
- Evolving Chrysapile into Lucanon costs 100 Larviule Candies and requires being near an active Magnetic Decoy Module

Field Study mission meetings
Field Studies are a great way to encounter many of the rare Pokémon. Unsurprisingly, these missions too have been taken over by the bugs.
Event Bonus
No less than 3 different bonuses come to facilitate your progress during the Insectomania event:
Group Bonus: Always more bugs
During the entire event, joining Raid battles with other trainers offers a temporary bonus. Once the Raid is over, a species of Pokémon will appear around the arena more often for 15 minutes.

Scout Collection Challenge
Finally, there will be a collecting challenge during the event. Capture tons of Bug Pokémon to earn 15,000 PX, the Scout title, and a pose armed with a bug net.
